I found it after trauma - a messy breakup and a violent event that could’ve ended everything. Learning to separate myself from the chaos became essential. Acceptance became survival.
Over time, it became peace.
Buddhism entered my life when anxiety tried to take it over. Mindfulness brought me back to the present. I started grounding myself through breath, body, and awareness. I began asking better questions.
Eventually, I found better answers.
Nature has always been the quiet mentor in the background. It reminds me that everything is already perfect. If we’re willing to see it.
Before sleep, I practise Yoga Nidra.
A meditative body scan that helps me detach from the noise and reconnect with my body.
Dissolving into deep rest.
Just before that, I list five things I’m grateful for - three times over. It’s a simple habit.
But it shifts everything.
Vitamin G (Gratitude) is the secret life hack. No side effects. Just perspective. I journal only when I need to. Not daily. Not performatively.
But when something’s stuck in my head, I empty it onto paper. No better therapy.
Breathwork is my next frontier - still exploring, still learning. It’s like consciousness training for the soul.
Truth be told, I’m mostly hoping that it will improve my spear fishing skills…
